MACEDONIA

Since 2007, CSSP has been working with local leaders in the municipality of Struga on strengthening their local interethnic political dialogue and improving the work of the Interethnic Commission. We have provided the municipal leaders with professional trainings on political negotiations and built the capacities of the Commission. In 2008 CSSP will continue to work with the municipal leaders in various formats. Together with our partner, the Macedonian NGO Forum CSRD, CSSP will initiate an Integrative Mediation process in new municipalities. In addition to the project in Struga, CSSP has actively worked with local mediators and lobbied to increase awareness of mediation and to link Macedonian mediators with other mediators in the region.
