Our Vision

We believe in a world in which community leaders have the civil, governmental and international support necessary to resolve inter-community conflicts without resorting to violence and in compliance with the principles of human rights, democracy, and non-discrimination/equal opportunity.

Our Mission

CSSP’s mission is to assist community leaders in post crisis areas to resolve their inter-community conflicts through dialogue, trust-building and negotiation using the principles and tools of Integrative Mediation. CSSP advocates for peaceful conflict resolution and capacity-building based on systemic problem-solving, non-discrimination, and participatory processes.

Our Goals

To empower and involve people in the realization of peace initiatives;

To provide Integrative Mediation services to community leaders specifically in the Western Balkans and in select places beyond the Western Balkans;

To promote the principles of Integrative Mediation;

To advocate for changes to policies that create conflicts;

To create capacity and skills in Integrative Mediation; and

To promote and safeguard the legacy of the Office of the International Mediator.

To promote ADR, specifically mediation, in our target regions.
