THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dr. Juan Armando Diaz is one of the founders of CSSP. Currently, he is responsible for all content of the organization and he is Chairperson of the Board of Directors. He has a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Kent. He specialized in conflict resolution and lectures on theories and practice of Negotiation and Mediation at the University of Kent (Brussels), European School of Public Policy (Erfurt), and Geschwister-Scholl-Institute at the Ludwigs-Maximilian-University (Munich). He has developed training courses and seminars in problem-solving negotiations for international institutions and NGOs.From 1998 to 2004 Dr. Diaz worked for the Office of the International Mediator for Bosnia and Herzegovina in different functions. He has been invited to speak at international conferences and to train in mediation in Belgium, Germany, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and USA. He was trained in mediation by Menschen und Organisation im Wandel (Andrea Fritsch together with Lorna Richie). He is registered as Mediator by the German Federal Association of Mediation (Bundesverband Mediation e.V.) and a member of the International Association for Conflict Management.

Eva Maria Malisius joined the team in the summer 2004 as a project assistant in the Office of the International Mediator for Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was an integral member of the CSSP start up team in 2005 and worked as a mediation assistant and project manager. In 2007 she became the Head of Training and a member of the Board of Directors (Treasurer). She is specialising in negotiation and mediation trainings, including the creation of training materials and role plays, and the conduct of trainings within the scope of CSSP's work and at several universities.
Ms. Malisius received a Masters degree from the University of Kent's Brussels School of International Studies (BSIS) with a focus on European identity and integration. In Brussels she worked as a freelance consultant for NATO’s International Staff and as a production assistant for ZDF’s Brussels office. She is currently completing a PhD in International Relations at the University of Kent. Throughout her studies she was involved in setting up the Working Group on European Integration and the Forum on Negotiation and Mediation. She initiated the BSIS alumni network and is on the Editorial Board of the BSIS Journal of International Studies.

Dr. Dieter Wolkewitz has a Ph.D. in International Public Law from the University of Frankfurt and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Jena. He worked at the OSCE Secretariat’s Conflict Prevention Centre, specializing on Central Asia and the Balkans and from 1996 to 1997 in the OSCE Mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina as Rule-of-Law Coordinator in Sarajevo. He also lectures on conflict resolution in the Balkans. From 1997 – 2004 Dr. Wolkewitz worked for the Office of the International Mediator in Bosnia and Herzegovina as Executive Representative. Dr. Wolkewitz was a Co-Founder of CSSP. Between 2005 and 2006 he was Co-Director. From January 2006 to June 2007 Dr. Wolkewitz was seconded as Senior Political Adviser to the High Representative/EU Special Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since he returned to CSSP in July 2007 he is a member of CSSP’s Board of Directors and responsible for External Relations and Fundraising.
