The Board of Directors
The board of directors consists of three persons. The members were elected at the last General Assembly meeting of CSSP e.V. in December 2011.
Dr. Juan Armando Diaz is one of the founders of CSSP. Currently, he is responsible for all content of the organization and he is Chairperson of the Board of Directors. He has a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Kent. He specialized in conflict resolution and lectures on theories and practice of Negotiation and Mediation at the University of Kent (Brussels), European School of Public Policy (Erfurt), and Geschwister-Scholl-Institute at the Ludwigs-Maximilian-University (Munich). He has developed training courses and seminars in problem-solving negotiations for international institutions and NGOs.
From 1998 to 2004 Dr. Diaz worked for the Office of the International Mediator for Bosnia and Herzegovina in different functions. He has been invited to speak at international conferences and to train in mediation in Belgium, Germany, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and the USA. He was trained in mediation by Menschen und Organisation im Wandel (Andrea Fritsch and Lorna Richie). He is registered as Mediator by the German Federal Association of Mediation (Bundesverband Mediation e.V.) and a member of the International Association for Conflict Management.

Alexandra Schwarz-Schilling is a founding member of CSSP e.V.. As treasurer she is responsible for overseeing the finances of the organization. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration and a Diploma in Psychology. In 2002, she founded Coaching Spirale GmbH in Berlin, a center for Coaching and its education. In addition to being a director, she regularly holds coaching seminars for different topics and an educational program for coaches. Her methodology includes face-to-face, team and group coaching. She is also the author of two books. She is a Certified Senior and Teaching Coach of the Deutsche Coaching Verband (DCV) e.V. and the Chairperson of the Certifying Commission of DCV.

Manuela Mangold has been a member of the board of directors at CSSP since December 2011. She holds the position of Secretary (Schriftführerin), responsible for maintaining good communication and relations among the members of the organization, preparing the General Assembly meetings, developing the Annual report, and ensuring professional organizational development. Since 2008, she has been working with CSSP as the assistant to the honorary president of CSSP, Prof. Dr. Schwarz-Schilling. She holds a diploma in Fine Arts, a bachelor in American Studies and History, and is currently finishing her master’s degree in American Studies. She has also organized summer schools for American students on the topic of migration for the past 4 years.
